Edward Mann are recruiting on behalf of a fast growing Fintech business in Surry Hills NSW, but with very flexible working arrangements. The role could also be based out of their Melbourne office.

This position has great working flexibility and is paying up to $160k + Super + Bonuses + ESOP, but is flexible for outstanding candidates.

The candidate will work closely with the Founders and the CFO on a range of duties, including budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, business partnering, financial modelling and period-end reporting.

They are looking for someone driven, keen to learn and with a strong capability in using data analytics tools to manipulate data.

This role has great progression opportunities and will quickly develop into a "Head of" or Lead position.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the budgeting and forecasting process and provide variance analysis.
Build comprehensive financial plans and create financial analysis to drive commercial decisions.
Month-end processes, including reconciliation of cash flows and processing of transactions.
Perform credit card reconciliations.
Assist with audit queries and requests.
Work with large volumes of data to manipulate and deliver insights.
Financial Modelling using Excel Power BI and other data tools.
Business partner with department heads and provide management accounts and insights to various teams.
Create KPIs and prepare analysis and commentary for management and board reports.
Create a culture of continuous improvement of finance processes and procedures.

The Ideal Candidate will have experience with:

CA, CPA, CFA or qualified or equivalent. Those not qualified or studying towards will still be considered.
Previous experience in a early stages company that has seen exponential growth.
In depth understanding of accounting concepts and general ledger maintenance
Advanced Excel skills and use of various data tools.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently when required.
Excellent problem-solving skills & time management skills with the ability to effectively manage deadlines and conflicting priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
