Project Accountant

Edward Mann is currently recruiting for a Project Accountant based in Gladstone for a 6-month Fixed term contract. Reporting to the Senior Corporate Accountant, this role will place a role in the capital accounting requirements.

Paying up to $100 p/h, inclusive of Super. But flexible for an outstanding candidate.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Providing support to Project Managers, including the establishment and closure of projects and monitoring of spend against plan

• Maintaining the Corporate Fixed Assets register, in conjunction with Book and Tax depreciation schedules

• Driving continuous improvement for company internal controls and processes to streamline and deliver value to stakeholders.

• Involvement in the Month-end Reporting Process for Capital Reporting

• Posting of Journal Entries with regards to Right of Use Assets and Site Closure Provision adjustments

• Working with Cost Centre Manager's to complete the annual Site Asset Verification program.

• Inventory Accounting for Capital and Insurance Spares, Rotables and Patterns

The successful Candidate will have:

• CA/CPA qualification (those not qualified or studying towards will still be considered)

• Experience in Project Management and Fixed Assets Accounting is desirable

• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders​
