Edward Mann is recruiting for a leading Australian Technology/Manufacturing company with a global presence in Australia, North America, South America, and Europe, but headquartered in Dandenong South, Vic.
They are looking for a permanent Financial Controller to join the company in a period of exceptional growth.
This role offers great progression opportunities. Working closely with the CFO, this role will gradually take on more and more responsibility at a senior level, including capital raising, strategic decision making and high-level commercial reporting.
The business is going through a period significant growth and has seen a 8-10x increase in revenue over the last 12 months.
The client is willing to pay up to 170K + Super, but potentially flexible depending on candidate experience. The role offers WFH flexibility as well as several other perks.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills with a hard-working attitude and outstanding leadership qualities that foster an environment of trust, hard work and excellence.
The Financial Controller will be responsible for all financial accounting matters including management reporting, accurate completion and review of statutory financial reporting, tax compliance and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
Produces and delivers the monthly and year-end group consolidated financial results.
Ownership and control of the month end process.
Contributes and supports the annual budget and ongoing forecasting process.
Owner of the General Ledger and upholds data integrity, including monthly preparation and review of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Business partnering with international markets and key head office functions.
Prepare and manage the Group’s cash flow projections and modelling.
Responsible for the global end-to-end audit process, including coordination of global subsidiary finance teams.
Delivery of the consolidation and financial statements for group and individual entities.
Prepares the Income Tax return working papers and liaise with external Advisors.
Prepare the annual working papers for the lodgement of the R&D return with our external Advisors.
Completion of other statutory lodgements including BAS, FBT, Transfer Pricing.
Ensures appropriate application of IFRS and other accounting standards and areas of judgement across the Group – including IFRS 16, cloud computing and impairment.
Skills and experience:
A qualified accountant and have other qualifications in Finance e.g., CA/CPA. (Candidates working towards these qualifications will still be considered)
Manufacturing industry experience. (Desirable)
Experience managing small teams in a similar role/industry.
Proven experience in multi-currency reporting.
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
A motivated and energetic approach with the desire to drive continuous improvements.
Self-motivated, positive and inspired/resilient leader who succeeds with people management with a proven history of developing high performing teams.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
