Financial Controller

​Edward Mann is recruiting for a Financial Controller to join one of the most recognisable drinks businesses in Australia. This 100% Australian owned and operated business is part of an ASX listed group and is now taking the market by storm, achieving over 30% yearly growth for the last 2 years and has now become a major player in its space.

The Financial Controller will be someone who with work closely with group leadership whilst overseeing day-to-day financial operations of the brand. You will oversee the company's finances, from financial reporting and budgeting to cash flow management and strategic planning. This is a role is critical in supporting the company's growth and ensuring its long-term success.

This business is willing to pay up to 160k + Super for the right individual and potential flexibility for exceptional candidates. They are also offering a WFH environment and growth prospects.

Responsibilities:

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts to create realistic financial plans and track performance against these targets.

• Business Partnering: Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support strategic decision-making.

• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements whilst provide insights into the company's financial performance and help stakeholders make informed decisions.

• Strategic Planning and Decision Support: Provide financial insights for evaluating investment opportunities and strategic priorities.

• Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow projections, monitor cash balances, and ensure that the company has adequate liquidity to meet its financial obligations.

• Financial Analysis: Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), assess the company's financial health, and provide insights to management.

• Financial Compliance: Ensuring compliance with ASX listing rules and regulations.

• Audit Preparation: Oversee the preparation for the annual external audit required by the ASX.

• Internal Controls and Risk Management: Establish and maintain robust internal control frameworks and risk management practices, ensuring compliance.

• Compliance and Regulatory Reporting: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and prepare regulatory filings.

• Tax Management: Manage tax planning and compliance to optimise tax efficiency and meet legal requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred those studying towards will still be considered.

• Proven experience in a financial management role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial management software.

• Knowledge of Power BI

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.

• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
