Job Title: Financial Accountant
Reports To:Financial Controller
Location:Park Royal, North West London
Salary:£55,000 - £65,000 (Dependant on experience)
Edward Mann is currently seeking a hands-on financial accountant for an exciting FMCG company. This is a great role for someone who wants to be involved in key financial accounting duties and is deeply committed to fostering the growth of our employees, providing a dynamic environment where individuals can continuously learn and advance in their career.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations and reporting.
Support the Financial Controller in preparing financial accounts and implementing financial processes and controls.
Analyse and advise on financial value to drive business success.
Coach and develop a team of 4 staff.
Ensure compliance with HMRC and National Stats.
Maintain and reconcile ledgers, including balance sheets.
Update and review daily cashflow forecast.
Review bank reconciliations for all accounts.
Close ledgers (Accounts Payable & Cashbook) and open the new period.
Set up suppliers and update bank details.
Enter invoices (Promos) on Syspro.
Check payroll files.
Prepare and process journals for the month.
Prepare the management accounts pack, including commentary.
Update the fixed asset register.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
Collaborate with budget holders to understand and support their requirements.
Send out monthly budget packs to provide detailed spend information.
Produce and submit VAT Returns.
Submit various National Statistics reports.
Prepare P11Ds for HMRC & employees.
PAYE Settlement Agreement Submission.
Prepare files and schedules for annual audits for 3 entities.
Prepare documentation for the Invoice Finance Audit.
Lead or support projects within the business.
Essential:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Candidates who are not qualified with the right experience will also be considered.
Excellent Excel skills.
Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop positive relationships.
Accurate with a high level of attention to detail.
