Edward Mann is recruiting exclusively for a highly reputable Private Equity firm that has positioned itself as a leader in the community facilities & land lease operations space. The business has extensive links overseas and is business is growing rapidly, seeing assets grow from $200 million in 2017 to over $1 Billion today, with far more growth on the way.
They’re seeking a hands-on Finance Manager that can work collaboratively in a vastly experienced finance team. You will partner with the groups senior management team to drive continuous improvement, manage the reporting process, lead the audit, mentor the team, and ensure the integrity of the financial controls/processes.
You will report to the Financial Controller work closely with other key stakeholders. The positions grant you access to an all-inclusive culture, ongoing training & professional development with unrivalled career progression.
The position is based in the heart of Sydney’s CBD and offering up to 180k + super, depending on experience. The role is permanent full time and does require individuals in the office 5 days a week.
Responsibilities:
Leading and mentoring the Finance team
Business partnering with multiple internal and external stakeholders across the business.
Managing the monthly management accounts and reporting suite process including consolidations
Preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, monthly, quarterly & annual reports
Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Measuring company performance against external and internal benchmarks
Assisting with annual budgets and forecasts
Ensuring compliance with statutory law, finance, and tax regulations
Management of Taxation functions in conjunction with Financial Controller and Senior Accountant
Managing external banking relationships.
Maintenance and documentation of accounting procedures & policies.
Solving technical accounting issues.
Maintaining relationships with external advisors where applicable
Oversee Financial Systems and external providers of systems management and system upgrades.
Identifying areas to improve business efficiencies and reduce costs.
Adherence and enforcing of company policies and internal controls.
Overseeing AP/AR and assisting where necessary
Processing of month end journals where required.
Assistance with the annual audit.
Assistance with implementation, testing of new systems and procedures.
In time assistance with reviewing and preparing of fortnightly payroll.
Other ad hoc duties as required.
Skills and Experience:
CA/CPA Qualification – Those without or studying toward will still be considered.
Prior experience in real estate or private equity or in ASX listed entity will be advantageous.
Willingness to go the extra mile.

Good communication skills.
Ability to handle high pressure and time sensitive projects and tasks.
